33 Sites On My Web Reading List
I haven’t been home much this week because I’ve been helping my Dad who has been ill. Before that I was sick myself for over a week. That means I haven’t been writing much on my blog, only really sharing websites I have found with short little descriptions (via my del.icio.us bookmarks).
So, I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you what I try to read/scan on a daily basis to keep up with the ever changing world of technology, web 2.0 and blogging even when I am not able to write much for posts.
To keep up on the world of web 2.0 I read
- O’Reilly Radar
- Techcrunch
- Mashable!
- Read/WriteWeb
- Web 2.0 Explorer
- Web2.0 List
- Solution Watch
- Emily Chang
To find new and interesting websites (where most of my del.icio.us posts come from)
- MoMB – Museum of Modern Betas
- Emily Chang – eHub
- BuzzShout
- Neo Binaries
- Popular pages on del.icio.us
Technology sites/blogs I like to keep up with
Blogs on blogging
Lifehacks and such
Marketing and advertising blogs
Newspapers
- Wall Street Journal (I subscribe to the online edition)
- New York Times (check out the Times Reader)
Whew! All in all I have quite a reading list. Thanks to Netvibes I am able to scan through articles and posts fairly quickly to find which items to read and which I can skip over.
The biggest problem facing me these days is finding more and more blogs that I find interesting. Rather than adding another tab to my Netvibes I have been experimenting with Google Reader and the built in feed reader in Internet Explorer 7 (which also integrates nicely with Outlook 2007) to see if they might help manage my reading list. I’ll let you know if I find either of them helpful in any way.
