Carry Your Notebook Computer Around With Ease Using the LapStrap

I’m ready for spring and all it affords, especially connecting online while outside so when I ran across the LapStrap I was sold. It’s a pretty simple contraption for someone as tech savvy as me…but being so simple is what makes it appealing. It’s basically a strap with some padding, a nice neoprene shoulder pad so it doesn’t slip and, well, that’s it. Once you have it adjusted to the length you want, simply put the strap across your open notebook computer then close the lid. Now, your computer is ready for easy transport.

Granted it doesn’t offer any protection from being bumped around and jostled during transport but for me if it’s a quick trip to the local coffee shop and all I want is my computer with me then it makes an ideal travel companion. It also is a nice contraption to have when traveling through airport security so that you don’t have to try and pull your computer out while the line of people crashes on top of you to get through the scanners. For me, this summer it will make it easy to bring my laptop down to the pool without it getting mixed in with my sunscreen lotions or the need to have a separate bag.

Finding Inspiration with Wikio

Well, I’m sitting in a new coffee shop, Panache, that opened recently down the street from me. I’m looking for inspiration. Lately, I’ve been spending too much time at home with myself and Jack the cat. It is nice to be among people. I just finished chatting up and older woman who lives across the street in apartments I may be interested in if my rent goes up this year.As for inspiration, I did come across a neat information portal called Wikio which delivers news, blogs, videos and shopping stories and links. What I like about the site is that is its international flavor since it is a UK site. I have found some new blogs to follow such as

I’m sure I will come across more sites and blogs as I browse around the site. A nice feature is being able to see the stories and blog posts added in real time with their Wikio Live feature.

It’s time for me to go, the battery is running low on my laptop and I have some work to do. Check out Wikio and let me know what you think.

I Love These Noise Isolating Headphones…Especially Their Price!

I have an Apple iPod Touch and have been in search for a decent pair of headphones for listening to music and audio books. I was willing to pay up to $30 for a good pair when I came across these Skullcandy Ink’d Smokin’ Buds Earbud Headphones at Circuit City. In store they retail for $24.99 but if you buy them online and either have them shipped or pick up in a store near you they cost $9.99. What a difference in price!

So, I got my pair of earphones that have 3 different ear sleeves to fit your ear size, and I put the largest size sleeve on (I guess I have big ears) and the earphones block out almost all of the ambient noise around me. And, the sound is excellent, at least to my ears. Now if you are a big audiophile these earphones may not be for you. But, if you are an average mp3 or portable media player listener I suggest you check them out. I got two more pairs to give as gifts and one more pair for me as a backup.

Say Goodbye to Plastic Bags: Use Envirosax

Today is Blog Action Day and bloggers are asked to choose an issue that pertains to the environment. I am choosing to share about Envirosax which are great reusable shopping bags and have cut down on my use of plastic bags while grocery and even clothes shopping. So, I guess my issue is replacing plastic bags with reusable bags.

I ordered a pouch of Envirosax (5 bags in all) through Delight (a great site that showcases one product per day) a few months ago and have been using them religiously for my shopping. Each sack holds at least two plastic bags of groceries, are sturdy as can be and are waterproof. The pouch fits into my purse and goes with me whenever I go shopping. Shoe boxes, clothing and other consumer items fit into the bags easily and I have cut down on the number of plastic bags that I use to collect.

Find the Perfect Shoes or Handbag at Endless.com

Today I found a gem of a shopping site for shoes and handbags called Endless.com. Sure, there are plenty of shopping sites out there but none that I have found that make it easy to find a pair of shoes or a handbag to match my specifications. I also appreciate the free overnight shipping, free return shipping and 110% price guarentee. Endless.com makes it easy to search for shoes. I can narrow my search by

category
brand
color
size
width
heel height
price

I could search multiple sizes, select different brands and set my price range. I really like the ability to select heel height and the multiple options given under a category. When I selected sandals I was given another range of selections from which to choose. You can select as many options as you wish which is also a bonus.

Searching for handbags was also a breeze with a wide selection of categories and brands.

I bought two pairs of shoes which should arrive tomorrow. I love that I could buy summer sandals on sale and have them the next day. If I find the shoes at a better price online within two weeks I just need to notify Endless.com and they will credit me 110% of the difference. There are some conditions to the price guarantee such as the lower price is the cost of the item plus shipping, that the item is the same size, style and color, and that it only applies to websites, not brick-and-mortar stores.
