Easily Email Web Pages to Yourself
Thanks to James Yeang at Friedbeef’s Tech I now have an easy way to email web pages to myself to review later. I tend to email myself interesting sites to look at later and generally have to go through the process of creating a new email message and put in my email address to send it to. With toread.cc all I needed to do was
- sign up with the email address I want the messages sent to,
- install the toread button on my links bar,
- click the button when I come across a page I want to read later and
- go to my email and read the email sent to me.
It’s as simple as that. Nothing flashy, no forms to fill out and no having to wade through favorites or bookmarks finding that page I was interested in 2 weeks ago.
I use Gmail to send the emails to and have created a filter so that the messages are labeled For Later and have color coded the label so I can quickly scan my inbox for the web pages I have forwarded to myself. I have 3 words for this tool, I love it!
Now, not everyone sends emails to themselves with web pages but if you do toread.cc is definitely worth checking out. Thank you James for reviewing toread.cc on your blog.
