Firefox Only: Increase Your Screen Space With These Tips & Add-Ons

I work on two computers, my desktop which has two screens making it easy to browse the Internet and work on documents at the same time, and my laptop with a 14″ screen which gives me less viewing space to work with especially when I am on the Internet and need to work with something like an Excel spreadsheet. Well, thanks to the Make Use Of article, Get Back your Screen Space: Maximize Firefox Viewing Area and the Lifehacker post, Optimize Firefox Chrome Usage with Littlefox, I now have a larger viewing area of web pages. This makes it so I can shrink my Firefox and Excel spreadsheet horizontally and see more data and less menus.

From the Make Use Of article I installed Tiny Menu and Fuller Screen. Then I used the Little Fox add-on cited in the Lifehacker post. Little Fox installs as a theme in Firefox and makes icons and buttons smaller while Tiny Menu condenses the menu bar, making it possible to combine my menu and navigation toolbars.. Fuller Screen gives me a complete full screen with no toolbars.

Make Use of had other plugins and also suggested to make your icons smaller by right clicking on the navigation bar, choose Customize and check “Use Small Icons.” This is beneficial if you don’t want to use Little Fox but would like to make your icons smaller.

Here is what my Firefox screen looks like now with the Bookmark and Google toolbars which I use quite often.

Do you have any tips or plugins you use that gives you more browsing space with your toolbars taking up less real estate?
