Five Things You May Not Know About Me
Here are five things that you may not know about me.
- I am the 7th of 8 children. My mother’s nickname was Bunny!
- When I was a teenager and into my 20s I thought intellectually I was stupid. I believed I had common sense but no brains. Graduating college magna sum laude changed that idea.
- For my 40th birthday my present to myself was to quit smoking. It’s been 5 years.
- For sixth months when I was 20 I sold magazines door-to-door, state-to-state. Not a job I would suggest to anyone but I got to see the backroads of the U.S. and meet some of the nicest people imaginable.
- I once had a cat named Hisser. He was a stray I took in that had been abused so at first he hissed at everyone (except me of course). He became Hisser the Pisser when he decided to mark his territory in the house though used the litter box after that. He ended up being a beautiful, affectionate cat. I suggest taking in a stray cat any opportunity you get!
