Plan Your Next Party With MyPunchBowl
While planning a family function for Christmas Eve I came across MyPunchBowl which helped me create an invitation, invite guests, start adding party information like food & beverages and is making it easy for me to manage the event. Our family get together will be informal. In the past we have had large amounts of food which no one eats so this year it is pizza and munchies. So, in order to satisfy everyone’s tastes we needed a way to keep track of what kind of pizza people like. MyPunchBowl helps to manage that kind of information and more.
MyPunchBowl has a simple, uncluttered interface with a right hand navigation menu. Setting up a party is made easy with step-by-step prompts to help you
- pick a date by sending out email polling guests on suggested dates,
- send out save the date emails to inform guests early of an upcoming party/event,
- create a customized invitation including RSVP options and map,
- invite guests by importing contacts from a range of email programs (Outlook, Outlook Express, Gmail, Yahoo),
- manage guest list, who has viewed invite and RSVP replies,
- create and manage message board for the party,
- create a party checklist of food, beverages and supplies needed,
- send a party reminder to guests, and
- create an After Party section complete with message board, photos and videos.
The whole process of creating the invitation and sending it out to guests took less than 10 minutes and future parties could take less time now that I know how to navigate the site. There are themes for all the different holidays & milestones and you can upload your own photos to use on the invitation.
I like the ease of use of MyPunchBowl and the customization of options for picking a date, sending out invites, RSVP options and sending a reminder email to guests before the event. The added bonuses over other invitation applications like Evite are
- a party/event message board,
- party checklist to keep track of what is needed for the party,
- ability to have guests add items to checklist for potluck get togethers and such.
- after party area where people can share thoughts, photos and videos.
The next time you are planning a party or event, check out MyPunchBowl to help you set up and manage the event.
