Test New Beauty Products With The TestTube Program

A couple of months ago I picked up a Time magazine that had a blurb about testing new beauty products with a company called New Beauty. New Beauty sends out 4 times a year a TestTube full of beauty products – some sample-sized, others full-sized — for $29.95 plus shipping ($38.90 total) for each shipment. I got my shipment on Monday and was pleasantly surprised with the products in the tube, and it really comes in a plastic tube! If you are into beauty products I suggest you check into the TestTube Program.

Normally, the TestTube is suppose to ship out 2 to 3 weeks after you sign up but I signed up during a period where the program had received a lot of publicity and they ended up with too much of a demand for their supply. I received an email explaining the problem along with 1 $25 gift certificate off of a $50 order with SpaLook which carries many of the products included in the TestTubes. I thought that was great customer service and I happily used the gift certificate to buy some mascara and powder foundation that I needed.

So, what was in my TestTube? A nice assortment of samples and full size products that are worth more than what I paid for the tube. I received the following.

Dermaquest C-lipoic Lip Enhancer which both moisturizes and increases lip volume. And, they sent me a full-size product that retails for $48. It really plumps up the lips!
Dr. Brandt Pores No More which reduces shine and gives skin smoother look. It is a sample size but will last me a week or so.
Blinc Kiss Me Mascara. I bought the full size product with my gift certificate and now have a sample to give to a friend. I really like this mascara.
Youngblood Natural Loose Mineral Foundations. There are two sample size foundations for me to try out.
Is Clinical Youth Complex. This is the smallest sample and most costly item full-size at $135. Of course it’s the product I would love to have more of. It helps reduce wrinkles and rebuild skin, whatever that means.
Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. Included is a full-size product that retails for $5.99, made by Johnson & Johnson. I’ve been using the cleanser at night and it removes my makeup yet is nice and gentle on my skin.
Spa de Soleil Mineral From The Dead Sea Hand & Cuticle Nutrient. Included is a full-size product that retails for $14.95. It is a nice moisturizer for the hands though is a bit greasy.
N.V. Perricone, M.D. Ala Eye Area Therapy. Included is a 6 week supply to use around the eye area day and night. I’ve always wanted to try Perricone products but the price has kept me away (full-size costs $50). If I see an improvement in my eye area I may invest the money.
Calme Essentials Rejuvenating Collagen Facial Mask. There is a package of one mask to try.
Go Smile PM Whitening Protection Fluoride Toothpaste. Included is a full-size tube of the toothpaste which retails for $16. I’ll see if it whitens my teeth at all.
Vita Amazonia Renewal Gel Cream and Revitalizing Cream. This is a sample size of two products, a day and a night moisturizer. I really like the way the night-time moisturizer made my skin feel, soft and toned. Of course the full-size product costs $150 so I’ll just enjoy the sample for now.
Two gift certificates. One from Tanga who sells lingerie for $50 off $100 order. Their products are very pricey and I don’t think I’ll take advantage of the gift certificate. The other gift certificate is for Caliderma who sells skin care products for $25 off a $50 order. I may use that one in the future.

Included with the TestTube is a Beauty Guide containing all the information I needed on each product and the full-size price. It was fun to read through the booklet and think of which product I would try out first. It was the lip enhancer. I’m glad that they sent me a full-size product on the lip enhancer because I will use that till the last drop!

All of you who love to try out the newest products and don’t mind paying out some money to wait and see what you will get should really sign up for the TestTube Program. I’m glad I did and can’t wait for my next tube.
