Tired of Asking Others to Shoot Photos & Videos For You…Try a Quik Pod
I travel alone quite a lot and also shoot video of family and friends without me in it because I am the one holding the camera. It gets to be discouraging at times, especially as I am such a glamour queen…well, not quite but I do like to be in the videos I shoot. Happily I have found a hand held monopod that will hold my camera and allow me to be in the videos I shoot without trying to get someone to do it for me like at the last holiday get together at my dad’s house. It’s called the Quik Pod and comes in two versions. One for holding a regular digital camera and the other for holding either a DSLR or compact camcorder like my Sony DCR-SR200 which weighs just over a pound.
The Quik Pod Pro extends 18.5″ and costs $24.95 with carrying bag, hiking clip, pocket clip, end cap and wrist strap.
The Quik Pod DSLR extends from 18″ to 53″ and costs $49.95 with carrying bag, monopod end cap, hiking clip, gel pad and wrist strap.
Here I am shooting my first video using my Quik Pod.
Check out the Quik Pod website for more video of how the device works and different ways of using it. And, watch out for more video of me either here or on my more personal blog ellen Living.
