I mentioned blogTV in my post from yesterday as one of the sites where you can stream live video as well as record shows using your webcam. blogTV launched their beta application at the end of May and while there is not as many live broadcasts and recorded shows like on Stickam or Ustream.tv it has some nice features that make it a pleasure to broadcast live.
Signing up with blogTV was easy and I was up and running within a matter of minutes. The interface of the live show has a nice set up with a decent chat room component. I like that only registered members can participate in the chat cutting down on spammers and undesirable chatters.
A nice feature of blogTV is the ability to invite a cohost to air live with you. All you need to do is click on the name of the person in the chatroom and invite them to broadcast and both people air at the same time.
If you have a webcam and aren’t too shy blogTV is worth checking out. I don’t know why there are not getting as many live streams as other sites. It’s a pity because it is a well designed application and the staff have been very helpful in explaining features and moderating (yes, there are moderators that come in and out of rooms to make sure there is no inappropriate content being streamed).
